Cambridge trainer Stephen Marsh has a big opinion of multiple trial winner Ugo Foscolo.

The juvenile from the first-crop of Zacinto has impressed in three trial victories including a 1000m heat at Matamata last week.

"He looks very smart but he's not a two-year-old type at all. He's going to be a lovely three-year-old," Marsh said.

"We'll look to set him for a maiden next month, but he's certainly one we'll have ready for the Guineas races in spring.

"He's a pretty serious horse. If you watch his last trial we let him settle off them and he was very good to the line and has a lot of ability."

Marsh is a fan of the progeny of Zacinto, a Group Two winning son of Dansili who also finished runner up to Rip Van Winkle in the Gr.1 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes.

"I've had a couple of youngsters by Zacinto including another that has finished second in a trial and she just keeps improving out of sight. I think he might be a stallion with a pretty bright future."
