The JLT Weanling Walk, organised by the Waikato Branch of the New Zealand Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association will take place this Sunday 28th April.
The tour will visit six farms in the Waikato region showcasing up to ten weanlings by first season sires at each property.
Tour participants will be able to view weanlings by Preferment, Vadamos, Tivaci, Tarzino, Telperion, and Puccini.
“People will be able to see what the progeny of these stallions look like to help them make a decision on where to send their mare in the upcoming breeding season,” organiser Derek Mayne said.
The tour will leave the NZTBA office in Cambridge (9 Anzac Street) at 10am with a bus provided free to all NZTBA members.
Lunch will be provided at Waikato Stud and the tour will conclude at 4:15pm.
